We visit hotels and restaurants not just for the food, but also for the overall experience. Our project aims to enhance this experience by using a robot to serve starters. We understand that when we visit hotels or restaurants, it’s not just about the food; it’s also about enjoying the overall ambiance and experience. With this in mind, we embarked on a project aimed at enhancing the customer’s enjoyment while dining at a hotel. Recognizing that waiters typically serve everything from starters to main courses, we envisioned introducing a unique element by incorporating a robot to serve the starter course. This innovation promises to add an exciting dimension to the dining experience.

Our solution involves the development of a robotic trolley designed to serve starter dishes to customers. The core concept behind this project is the utilization of a line-following robot. In essence, the entire system is built around the Arduino UNO microcontroller board. Additionally, we have integrated IR sensors to detect the black lines on the floor, facilitating the trolley’s navigation.

To construct the trolley, we’ve utilized materials such as MDF sheet and plastic, which ensure durability and reliability. Furthermore, we’ve incorporated 3D printed components to facilitate the assembly of the trolley’s body.
